From Japanese origins, Reiki is a means of sharing the most beautiful calming and healing energies to still a busy mind and bring a sense of meditative calm. The body’s own healing mechanisms are profound, and, once in a state of deep relaxation, healing on all levels can be encouraged by the movement of this wonderful life-force energy, mind, body and spirit.

Reiki is received whilst lying down on a comfortable therapy couch but can also be adapted to a sitting position if preferred. You remain clothed and will be offered a blanket for warmth if desired as some people may feel temperature changes during the treatment. The practitioner will place their hands gently over points of the body, welcoming the flow of this beautiful energy for the highest good (a “no touch” technique can be used if preferred). The experience is a very individual one. Much can be gained during a treatment to enhance overall wellbeing and truly create that “space for stillness”, sometimes elusive in our busy lives.

Hello, I'm Alix, a dedicated physiotherapist with seven years of experience in private musculoskeletal practice. I graduated from Salford Royal University with first-class honours in Physiotherapy, and since then, I've been passionately helping people improve their health and well-being.

After working and leading in clinics across Manchester, I decided to establish my own practice, Physio Goals, in 2019. At Physio Goals, I offer a range of therapeutic interventions, including joint manipulation and mobilisation, acupuncture, soft tissue massage, sports taping, ultrasound, and tailored rehabilitation exercise programmes.

My approach is to use my professional expertise and collaborate with you to meet your goals, ensuring you receive the highest standard of care in a welcoming environment. I look forward to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals!

Joanna holds the Centralia level 5 mastership in reflexology, presently the highest level reflexology practitioner qualification, as well as having completed training in the specialist reflexology sequences and treatments listed.
From an early career in nursing Joanna became interested in spiritual (energy) healing over 20 years ago, later undergoing training to explore working in complementary ways of healing. Having worked in a busy and stressful corporate environment Joanna is also sensitive to the need to sometimes just stop and seek a little respite; an oasis of calm to rebalance mind, body and spirit.
